Many farmers lost so much money because of not knowing what they should know before jumping into farm. Even at that, no worries we are here for you.
Most people will tell you that bacteria is responsible for it which will make you worry especially as bacteria is a very scary news to most farmers.
Why not try simple things first?
I am not just a blogger, I am a farmer, so l tell only things l know, seen and experienced.
Cucumber is a strong plant, so it hardly
wilt without cause. Most times, it is problem caused by you:
1.Misaplication of fertilizer.
It could be that you apply ferilizer too close to plant, and it burns it.
2. You may have spray something you heard from the internet or some inovators.
3. Some oganic manures can burn your cucumber if not applied properly.
4. Pest: there is a pest you must not allow to spend a day in your farm bacuse it doesn't eat cucumber, it injects it today, it wilt tomorrow. if you allow them, they can reach 500 in a week and you loose the whole farm in two weeks depending on where you live.
5. Something has cut an important root.
6.In adult cucumber, disease can cause a plant to wilt.
My advice:
be in the habit of gently uprooting your plant if you notice an ireversible problem and inspect the root system. That is one way you will grow as a farmer. If the root decay, then it could be one of the reasons I mentioned above. If it is still very strong, it could be that the wicked insect we talked about has been busy in your farm or something you spry.
